Delicious yet healthy is what the Mahua nectar is… it’s great mix for cold coffees, desserts and bakery creations .. but it’s not just about the sweetness, it brings its own distinct flavour , adding character to the beverage or the dish. Absolutely love it and it’s a game changer. I am a fan!!

Mahua nectar has been a wonderful new addition to our pantry! Not only is it a healthy and traditional sweetener but it has such a unique character of its own! The slightly smoky, sweet and honey like flavor goes great in coffee, oatmeal, millet porridge (Ambali), on pancakes, and as we discovered, is the perfect sweetener for Chikoo milkshakes (the flavor is out of this world, and anyone who comes home and tries it has always asked for the recipe!). It’s even better to know that purchasing and using this, helps sustain tribal communities and their centuries old lifestyles, and contributes to he preservation of Mahua trees in their natural habitat

This Mahua Nectar is a happy surprise! A touch of smokiness and caramel give it a richness and character that is outstanding. Reminds me just a bit of aravana payasam (Malayalees or those who've been to the Sabarimala temple are likely to understand what I mean). Has worked particularly well for me with coffee although it's not restricted to just that. Anyone who has used maple syrup and likes it might want to try this as well.
